Girls Academy: Our U6 and U10 girls trained bright and early last Sunday morning in Connolly Park. Our U8 girls participated in the Lee Strand Co Blitz last Sunday afternoon in Caherslee, where we played games V Moyvane, Duagh, Scartaglin & Firies. Well done girls and sincere thanks to our coaches for their time and dedication. Updates for this weekends football will be posted in your team What’s App groups.
U12 Girls: We will participate in the U12 Co Blitz this Wednesday (Aug 20th) at Austin Stack Park Tralee. Games commencing at 5.30pm V Moyvane, Cordal and Churchill.
U13 Girls: We have qualified for this year’s North Kerry Div 2 Shield Final V Listowel. Match details TBC
U14 Girls: Training this Wednesday in Connolly Park from 5.45pm to 7pm.
U15 Girls: The draw has been made for this year’s U15 Co. Championship. We are due to play away V Churchill on Sept 7th.
U16 Girls: The Final round of this year’s
Quilter Insulation U16 Co League Div 2 was played in Connolly Park last Thursday evening FT
Austin Stacks 3-17 Churchill 3-4.The win sees us top this year’s table and claim home advantage for the League Semi final V Listowel which goes ahead on Monday Aug 25th.
Senior Ladies: Bon Secour Intermediate Co Championship FT Austin Stacks 2-5 Firies 2-10. This Round 1 game was played in Connolly Park last Sunday morning to the sounds of the Feile Tra Li in the background and was well refereed by Seamus Mulvihill. The visitors started very brightly and had chalked up a lead of 2-6 to no score, both goals coming from Sarah Palmer, before Stacks Megan O Brien replied with 2 goals of her own, to leave the half time score Stacks 2-0 Firies 2-6. The second half was more competitive with both sides giving their all and contributing to an entertaining game of football. In the end the deserving win went to the Firies side who had led throughout. G4MNO: We enjoyed a game away V Ballyduff last Monday evening. Thanks to Ballyduff for the invite. Our Weekly training continues every Monday evening from 7-8pm. New players are very welcome just come along any evening.
