U12 Girls North Kerry Div 2 Final: Congratulations to our Super U12 team on a fantastic victory as they became the newly crowned North Kerry Division 2 Champions 2023. Captained By Amelie who lead the team from the front with an excellent performance from full forward , the whole squad fought hard for this one. Like Robert said at the end we are a team when everyone plays and every girl involved tonight gave everything they had. They can all be very proud of how they played till the final whistle against what we knew would be a very strong Corcha Dhuibhne team. It was very disappointing at the end that we didn’t get a chance tonight to celebrate with the trophy but that day will come soon and we will enjoy it even more. Every player who either started in the first quarter or came on played their part and we go into the county league with our confidence high. The attitude that these girls showed tonight will take some beating as we continue our season ahead. Thank you to all the supporters who waited with the delayed throw in And thanks to George the ref for coming on short notice. Final score Stacks 5-5 CD 2-5. Scorers on the night were Sophie Piggot 0-1 Ruth Dowling 0-1 Amelie O’Sullivan 5-3. We are so proud of all of them and we will celebrate our league win ASAP (report by Cian O Sullivan)

With have now played all our games in the NCP League. Our Div 7 team will play away to Spa Killarney in the B final this Sunday at 1pm. Training will continue on Mondays and Thursdays.

Senior Ladies: Donal Curtin Cup Rd 4 FT: Austin Stacks 2-15 ISG Kenmare 2-5: This game was played in beautiful evening sunshine in Connolly Park last Monday night (May 15th). Two first half goals in the opening 15 minutes from the visitors had Stacks behind by 5 but a great 2nd quarter saw our team regain their composure and when Caoimhe Barry Walsh kicked a fine point on the half time whistle the home side had levelled matters to leave the score at the break Austin Stacks 0-8 ISG 2-2. The 3rd quarter was a tightly contested affair until Mother/daughter duo Caoimhe & Marina Barry Walsh combined for a well worked goal and provided a cushion of a 5 point lead for their team at that juncture. The Stacks attack was now working well with Sarah Hoare, Deirdre Quigley, Marina and Saoirse Moriarty all chipping in with points from play. All the while Kenmare were dangerous on the attack but the lessons of the 1st half had been learned and it is a credit to our defence that their forwards were limited to 3 points (2 frees ) in the 2nd half of the game. Our 2nd goal with 5 minutes left on the clock was a powerful shot from Megan O’Brien across the goalmouth which left Saoirse Moriarty with the easiest task to direct it into the net and that was it game, set and match. Well done to our team and mentors. Special thanks to the Austin Stacks Field Committee who had the pitch in perfect condition and to Aisling Browne who operated the score board for us on the night. Team: Emma Dunican, Karena Slattery, Lara Flynn, Lilly Collins, Eimear O’Sullivan, Clodagh Murray, Maeve Mc Kivergan, Norma O’Connor, Caoimhe Barry Walsh (1-3), Deirdre Quigley (0-2), Saoirse Moriarty (1-4), Megan O’Brien (0-3), Mary Moore, Marina Barry Walsh (0-2), Grace Lucid. Subs used Holly O’Brien, Katie Nagle, Sarah Hoare (0-1). In Rd 5 we are away to Clounmacon on Monday May 22nd
