PEIL FAOI 13: Our Coiste Thrá Lí Shield Final game i gcoinne na nGael was called off due to the terrible weather last weekend. Players will be informed of time and venue of the game: keep ears to the ground! We are greatly looking forward to this game following our good win over St Pats in the semi-final. We hope to do ourselves justice against the Killeenmen! PEIL FAOI 15: Our under 15 side’s much anticipated Coiste Thrá Lí final against Ardfert was also called off last weekend. Both captain Alan Crean and ace marksman Daragh O’Brien were unavailible last weekend and, so, their availibility should strengten our hand for the final…whenever it is played…players will be informed of time and venue as soon as known. In our semi-final replay against the Yellow Road boys we performed well in a good game of football. Our boys were slightly stronger and more effective throughout the field and at the halfway stage we had a cushion of seven points. We maintained our momentum during the second period and had our heads in front at the post. We learned the lesson of not relaxing when ahead…from the drawn game! Good luck, boys, in this final encounter of the season. IOMÁNAÍOCHT FAOI 15/16: Hurling will take place on Sunday at 12.00 as usual and all welcome to the ”physical improvement” session on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
SCÓR na nÓG: The County semi-finals of Scór na nÓg will take place in Abbeydorney on 15th November…this Saturday…at 7.30pm (for North Kerry…that’s us) and in Keel on 14th November (this Friday). Good luck to Shelley Ní Eidhin (Hynes) and to Megan Nic Ionnrachtaigh (Enright), our representatives in solo singing and in recitation. Good luck also to the other Tralee competitors.
HURLING SEMI-FINAL: Our men hurlers didn’t take the field in the county semi-final last weekend because of the condition of the weather/pitch. Good luck to Ger Scollard and his hurling men whenever they take on Ardfert in the Co. semi-final (JUNIOR).
”MASSABIELLE”: Some of our younger members/players will take part in Fr. Ahern’s Lourdes’ Pageant which will take place in the KDYS from 17th to 25th November. Know anybody who took part when performed 50 years ago in the CYMS…apart from our own Eddie Bailey?
