HURLING (an cluiche sciliúil): The 2009 Hurling season will begin next Sunday, 11ú Eanair, in The Green School Gym. Times: (1) at 4.30pm for the under 10/12 lads and (2) at 5pm for the Under 14/17 boys. All boys in the Tralee area are invited to join us for HURLING…..if your club doesn’t have a HURLING team you are entitled to play with your nearest hurling team/club without being obliged to leave your own football club! As hurling is part of our organisation….the GAA….one should not be afraid of supporting our 2nd (1st..??) national game!!
SCÓR NA bPÁISTÍ: Scór na bPáistí (for Primary School Pupils) will take place shortly…We have a solo singer and storyteller…but we need dancers, musicians and quiz experts!

SCÓR NA SINSEAR: Senior Scór will also take off early in ‘o9. We expect to enter teams for solo singing, aithriseoireacht, tráth na gceisteanna and bailéadghrúpa. Any takers for set dancing, figure dancing, sketch?
NA CAILÍNÍ: The Austin Stack Club Ladies’ Academy will forge ahead on Sunday next in The Green Gym: (1) Under 6, 8 & 10 girls will attend for the throw-in at 10.00am and (2) the Under 12-ers will be on the ball at 11.00am. Go n-éirí go geal agus go spórtúil le Mná na Carraige….the most enthusiastic group of girls in the kingdom. ”I’ll finish (my verse) with one piece of advice:/always be gracious, always be nice;/ignore those who’ll say that you’re too cocky,/and gently remind them that you’re JUST A ROCKIE.”!”

AGM: Our Juvenile Annual General Meeting was held on Monday last, 5ú Eanair, in the Upper Room in Connolly Park and was well attended. All the topical and relevant topics were discussed and everyone is looking forward to the challenges of 2009. The black’n’amber army is alive and well and is ready for battle! ”Seanaid Abú!”, as the Geraldines of old would have shouted…ach anois, we say: ”Stacaigh Abú”.
