(ii) Our Under 16s gave a great account of themselves against Legion last week. They played outstandingly, were the better team on the pitch but had to be satisfied with a draw. Mentors, officials and supporters were very pleased with the spirit and effort displayed. The players themselves were happy with their own general performance. In the rearguard section Micheál Ó Gallchóir played a great game, as did Alan Crean. Bhí Dara Ó Briain ar fheabhas chun tosaigh agus fuair Danny de Róiste sárchúl! Well done all! A Danny Roche excellently taken goal raised our expectations and the revival continued…several good points were popped over…we upped our efforts…we marked a little tighter…some good runs off the ball…a couple of nice 1,2s! However, the Willie Maher managed boys in red and green switched on their scoring power, discovered Paddy Fitz’s well guarded net and left us behind on the final climb!
