COACHING: This is a good time of year to learn new training methods and drills that will help you in your training sessions and thus develop your young players. As coaches we are always looking at new ways to develop our young players’ technique, to improve team play and to make training more challenging. So, on Monday night 15th March there will be a hurling workshop for all coaches in the Dr. Crokes GAA Club in Killarney. Two of Cork’s top GAA coaches, Éamonn Ryan and Frankie Flannery will be heading the workshop. Date: 15th March. Time: 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Venue: Dr. Croke Club GAA Pitch, Páirc an Fhia.
CÚRSA EILE: On Thursday 18th March there will be a “Fundamentals of Hurling” Workshop for primary school teachers. We all know how important the primary school is in the development of our youngsters and it would be great if what is learned on this course could be taken back into the respective schools. This is also important for the development of hurling in the Tralee/South Kerry area. You do not need to have previous hurling experience to do this workshop. Páidí de Buitléir, the National Director of Hurling, will be i bhfeighil a’ tí!. Páidí is one of Ireland’s top hurling coaches and he will bring his own unique style and teaching ability to the proceedings. Fáilte roimh mhúinteoirí go dtí “Hurling Fundamentals” ar an 18ú Márta. Venue: Aura Sports and Leisure Centre, Killarney. Am: 4pm go 5.30pm. Spéis agat? Contact: John Griffin 087-6230605 or E-mail john.griffin.munster@gaa.ie
