Na hALL-STARS: The Rock All-Stars and their team of coaches enjoyed yet another brilliant session in Connolly Park last Sunday morning. This is The Rock All-Stars initiative that takes place EVERY Sunday morning at 11am at the Austin Stack Club. These weekly sessions are already a big success with all participants. This is an inclusive initiative undertaken by the club and is open to any child with a diagnosis; it provides a safe space for children to engage in social games and to learn some basic football skills. PEIL FAOI 9: We’ll have U9 football action at 11am next Sunday morning as usual. Great football is expected! This Thursday (18th) we challenge Miltown/Castlemaine….a big big game….a real challenge v the Mid-Kerry boys! We also hope to travel to Cork later in the season for the St Finbarr Club Tournament….always an exciting trip with lots of football to be played; now is the time to work hard at our game (matches/training) so that we’ll be in tip-top gear and ready for the battles ahead!!

FAOI 13 ROSE CUP: The ROSE of TRALEE Cup competition commences this Saturday (20th) ‘in the beautiful Vale of Tralee.’ Go n-éirí go geal lenár bpeileadóirí! Grouping and clubs….
Group A: Na Gaeil, Emmets, Legion, Lios a’ Phúca.Group B: Na Mistéalaigh, Churchill, Cordal, Ballyduff Upper.
Group C: Na Stacaigh, Ballymac, Ardfert, Fr Caseys.
Group D: K-O’R, St Senans, Douglas, Laune Rangers.Venues: Groups A and B will play in Killeen (Club na nGael).
Groups C and D will play in Healy Park (K-O’R), Ballyrickard.
This 13-a-side competition will commence at 10.30am (both venues). 10 minutes per half will be played in all games. Normal U13 Football Rules will apply: one hop and one solo; all kick outs from within the small square; no penalties but ‘square ball’ rules apply; the square to be 3 metres from end line and 1 metre from the goalposts; ‘45 metre kicks’ to be taken from 36 metres out; no more than 2 touches of the ball along the ground (soccer style) to be permitted.
If teams are tied on an equal number of points at the end of Round 1, the result of their Round 1 game will determine their position on the points’ table. However, if their position cannot be determined this way it will be determined by score difference. If they cannot be separated, their position will be determined by ‘goals scored first.’ If semi-finals or finals end in a draw 2 X 3minute periods of extra time will be played. If extra time ends in a draw one period of 3 minutes of further extra time will be played and teams will toss for direction of play.The Cup and Shield Finals will be played in Killeen at 2.45pm. A maximum of 24 players per team will be allowed.
CAID FAOI 14: This year’s Lee Strand Football Tournament will take place on September 3rd which, this year, is for the Under 14 grade. This is a highly acclaimed competition. AN CLUB – FAOI 15: The U15 Central Region League games are on hold for a few weeks while the District/Divisional Area Championship takes place. Our club’s Division 1 team will play v Killorglin’s Laune Rangers in the Central Region League final and our club’s Division 5 lads will take on Ballymacelligott in their final. We look forward to both encounters!

Their final group game has been scheduled for 7pm this Wednesday (17th) at the John Mitchel Club and their opponents are the boys from the Kenmare District.
