PEIL FAOI 9:
The Paddy Drummond Cup will be minded and looked after for the next 12 months by Conor Long and Caelan Long. The Martin Bracker O’Regan Cup will be cared for by Ruairí Magnier and Faylin Carroll. The Jimmy Barry Cup will be in the safe hands of Darragh Maguire and Donnagh Townsend-Scanlan.
PEIL FAOI 11:
The finals of the Garry Fernane and John Galvin perpetual Cups brought the curtain down on the U11 Boys’ season after a most enjoyable and very satisfactory year’s activities. Elliot Toomey and Jake O’Driscoll were the respective recipients of the magnificent trophies, presented by Órlaith Ní Ghrífín, granddaughter of Garry, and by Joey Kinsella, nephew of ‘Gally’. This year there were 70 outdoor sessions from January to late October. Initially, some sessions took place on The Green CBS’s Astroturf but were later relocated and were then mostly held in Caherslee and in Connolly Park. The extensive programme of GoGames and multi-team blitzes is a credit to Coiste na nÓg, to the Tralee Town Board and to the Central Board; The Rock Club sincerely thanks those who were involved in organising these activities. Éacht oibre d’óige an cheantair. Many boys also attended both the County Board CÚL Camp and The Rock Summer Camp in Connolly Park. Some also played with their primary school teams and many were very involved in the Community Games football competitions. The sense of fun, participation and honesty of effort of the players made the mentors’ jobs easy and all bodes well for the boys’ futures, both on and off the field of play. RÚIN BHUÍOCHAIS:
Once again, we most sincerely thank John Breen, Noel O’Connell, Dave Hill and Lee Munzter for their work, co-operation and help with pitches, goalposts, flags, gear, dressing rooms, etc. These enthusiastic, selfless and faithful workers are among the hidden heroes of our club agus bheidís molta dá mbeimis inár dtost. We thank Adrienne McLoughlin, for her talented, tireless and timeless contributions to our enjoyment of club activities for many years; cuireann sí Club na Carraige os comhair an tsaoil ar na meáin shóisialta lena grianghraif (grianghrafanna) agus lena tuairiscí. Thanks to the County Board for the continued use of the Caherslee pitches on Sunday mornings. And lastly, but not least, we thank the referees, including our own evergreen Gordon who literally keep the show on the road.

A date has still to be fixed for the playing of the U19 Corn Uí Shúilleabháin competition final between Tralee CBS and Mercy Mounthawk. Black‘n’Amber players on The Green panel: Seán Óg Brosnan, Fionnán Ryan, Ronan Carroll Ryan O’Driscoll, Donnacha Horgan, Olivier Lata. The U19 Rock boys on the Mounthawk panel: James Fisher, Pádraig Ó hAllmharáin, Ben Murphy, Daniel Kirby, Alex Touhy, Gavin Ó Cathasaigh, Paddy Lane, Cormac Bastible. INTERMEDIATE FINAL:
The date of the Kerry Petroleum Intermediate Club Championship Final Replay v Laune Rangers has been changed to NEXT Saturday, November 9th. In an ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for all children who wish to take part in GAA games and activities, the club will host the following training session for mentors and coaches as follows:
Anti-bullying Workshop (2hrs)
Date: Tuesday 19th November 2024.
Venue: Connolly Park
Time: 7.00 – 9.00pm.
This workshop will be held in Connolly Park and will be facilitated by Colette Murphy, GAA Safeguarding Tutor.
This workshop is designed for coaches involved at Juvenile level and it is expected that all Senior Club coaches will attend.
