GACH DEA-GHUÍ:
Good wishes to all our players as games and schoolwork wind down as we approach the Holy Season of Christmas. Santa is nearly ready for the big journey!
AN CLUICHE SCILIÚIL:
The Tralee CBS U17 hurlers gave a good account of themselves in the Munster ‘B’ Final last week Friday. Even though Corn Shéamais Uí Dhonnchú went to Hospital….4-14 to 1-17….the CBS 6-point defeat was no disgrace. The Green boys, including our club footballer, D. Horgan, battled all the way and were unlucky not to have scored a few goals when opportunities presented themselves! Bhíodar ar chomhscór ag leatham…1-8 ag an dá thaobh. By the end of the third quarter it was still level pegging at 3-9 to 1-15. The Limerick lads were the stronger in the last quarter. ‘The scoreline might suggest a six-point difference,’ stated journalist M.Murphy, ‘but Hospital will testify that it was a game of inches! They just about deserved their win after a gripping contest!’ These Kerry hurlers were in good company this season, having challenged such well-known hurling schools as Thurles CBS and St Flannan’s College in the Harty Cup competition
