PEIL FAOI 11/12:
(i) We finished off our U12 competitive season with two victories by both teams….v the Kerins-O’Rahilly Club and v Ardfert. Great results, boys!
(ii) Well done, young men of The Rock! We’ll complete our season with a return visit to Dingle/Daingean/Daingean Uí Chúis on September 19th; our recent trip back west was most enjoyable and great football was played by both sides. Sea, imríodh peil sciliúil den scoth thiar i nGallaras!
(iii) Our Under 11s will travel to Cork this coming Sunday (14th) for the Dee and Barry O’Leary Tournament at the Na Piarsaigh Club….always a brilliant outing….and we hope, le cúnamh Dé, to retain the title that we won last year. This will be the 42nd year in succession that Rock boys travel to Club na bPiarsach on the northside of Cork City. Wow! 1983! That was the year that Dublin won the All-Ireland by defeating Galway by 0-2; The Dubs finished the game with only 12 players and Galway finished with 14! The Kerry championship was won by Killarney (Crokes and Legion joined together!); they beat Feale Rangers by 0-3. (Tim Mac Mathúna)
CAID FAOI 14:
