PEIL FAOI 9: (i) Our U9s have had great GoGames v Castleisland Desmonds recently; great football was played by all concerned. They have one GoGames outing left and that will take place on Sunday August 6th when they’ll take on Club Naomh Seanán. (ii) We hope to see you all in Connolly Park on Thursday (27ú Iúil) at 5.30pm and on Sunday (30ú Iúil) at 11am.

CAMPA PEILE: Our club’s annual football camp will take place between August 8th and August 12th. All youngsters from 4 years of age to 13 years old will be most welcome. No need to book in advance…buail isteach chugainn ar an 8ú lá.

ALL-STARS
: Sunday morning’s ALL-STARS session was as good as ever. Yes, we had our usual warm up….knees-to-sky exercise, running, walking, jumping jacks, jogging. We had great fun doing our listening, watching and imitating exercises and we didn’t forget our social games! We saw great efforts and brilliant performances by everybody! The football skills’ session was brilliant and so was the obstacle course! Dul chun cinn, a dhuine! Well done, everybody…players and coaches! Parents/Guardians, feel free to bring your young ALL-STAR along to The Rock, Connolly Park, on Sunday next (30rd July). (Cathal Ó Sé)

PEIL FAOI 11: (i) More Football-For-Fun at 10.50am next Sunday (30ú Iúil) i gCathair Sailí. Fáilte roimh chách. (ii) The U11 Central Region GoGames (A and B) begin this Thursday (27th):

There will be no semi-finals or finals. (Michael Lynch)

U11 Boys’ Football

The Rock had a very good day’s football in perfect conditions in Fitzgerald Stadium in the Munster Council’s Go Games blitz last Tuesday. The lads actually played five 11-aside matches – against Annascaul, Moyvane, St Senan’s, and Cork clubs Urhan and BK Plunkett’s. Senior star Joe O’Connor also gave the boys a guided tour of the dressing rooms etc. Thanks Donal Daly et al for setting it all up.
We play Laune Rangers at 7PM on this Thursday in Connolly Park in our opening Central League Go Games.

PEIL FAOI 13: (a) Central League: it was a quiet week on the games front! (b) Our A team are scheduled to play the John Mitchel Club U13s this Thursday 27th at 7pm in Connolly Park and our B team will visit Killeen to play Na Gaeil B on Friday 28th at 6.30pm. Best wishes, boys!
(b) Team Bonding Trip: thanks to the generous support of Ned O’Shea & Sons and John Lane & Sons, the U13 boys have an exciting day of activities to which they can look forward….a trip to the Eclipse Centre, Kenmare, on the Bank Holiday Monday, 7th August. Bainigí súp as an turas agus as na himeachtaí!
(c) Training on Tuesdays from 5pm to 6.30pm and on Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm. (Dan Ahern)

PEIL FAOI 15: (a) It was certainly a difficult week in the Central League for both our U15 teams. Killorglin’s Rangers were our opposition. On Wednesday our A team had a really tough challenge when they travelled to Puck with an under strength team. They started well, though, and scored a goal in the opening minutes but unfortunately that was as good as it got! Laune Rangers took control of the tie and, despite our boys’ heroic efforts and a never-say-die attitude, the lads of The Laune crossed the line as winners! Foireann mhí-ámharach na Carraige: Conchúr O’Riagáin; Jamie Ó Cathasaigh, Brian Kavanagh, Maximilian Grzybowski; Eoin Mangan, Darragh Lyons, Jayden Moriarty; Tadhg Falvey, Rory Ó Loinsigh; Denis Brassil, Jake Carmody, Jack Ó Duigín; David Hobbert, Óran O’Donoghue, Jack Shanahan; Michael Cotter, Jay Sweeney, Harry Murphy, Ben Litchfield.
(b) On Sunday evening last we played Laune Rangers in the B game. A strong first half by the visitors saw them take a big lead into the break. An scór ag leatham….AdeS: 1-3; Laune Rangers: 2-8. Several changes were made at half-time after which our dogged and resolute stalwarts upped their efforts, fought for every ball and played quite well. Unfortunately, The Rangers continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over and took the win on a final score of 4-13 to 2-8. The Rock B team: Conchúr O’Reagáin; Oisín Mac Coitir, Fionn Mac Coitir, Brian Kavanagh; Jamie Ó Cathasaigh, David Hobbert, David Mullins; Denis Brassil, Jack Shanahan; Joe de Barra, Nathan O’Connor, Kyle Yoxall; Dean Courtney, Ewan Canty, Darragh Lyons; Nathan O’Connor, Barry Laide, Seán McCannon, Jay Sweeney.
(c) Training continues this week; watch out for messages with details. Keep up the efforts, boys….a good future lies ahead for the Austin Stack Club U15s! (Ger Hobbert)

PEIL FAOI 17
: ‘Well done’ to our minors who gave of their almighty best v East Kerry in their Group 1 2nd Round game in Connolly Park last weekend.
