Game 2 of this seven game Co. League ended in a six points win for the home side at Chamfers on this Friday evening (20th May). We did not avail of the stiff breeze which was in our favour in the first half and trailed at half time by 0-6 to 0-3.Two points by David Mannix and one by Frankie Murphy, all from play, was our lot in that half. By ten minutes of the restart we had reduced the deficit to the bare minimum with two points from play by David Mannix and team captain David Clifford. But in the 42nd Mitchels got through for what turned out to be the match winning score, the only goal of the game. We failed to add to those early scores, while Mitchels added two more points for a well deserved victory.
