Our under 16’s returned to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over a disapointing Dr Crokes side in Connolly Park on Wednesday evening. We were lifted by the return of Joseph O’Kelly following a long injury and he put in a good hour. However it was the performance of Conor Jordan in a new full forward role that was the catylst for victory. He linked time and time again with the inspirational Greg Horan and Eamonn McAllen, and was at the heart of everything good from our attacking unit. Barry Walsh also revelled in his more customnary full back role ably assisted by Dylan Harnett and Tommy Nicholson. We led 10pts to 2 at the break and despite losing Aidan McQuinn at half time we piled on the pressure again after the break with Kyle Fitzgibbon ending up with 10pts and Eoghan McKivergan lording centre back. Conor Jordan then capped a fine night with our only goal after 45mins. We made five changes in the second half with each player making a valuable contribution but disapointingly conceded a goal at the death.
