He is the Club’s oldest member and today (14th Dec, 2019) he celebrates his 98th birthday. Originally from Carlow, his work in the Department of Agriculture brought Sean to Tralee. He was introduced to our Club by the late Kevin Barry and became actively involved firstly as a hurling and football selector and subsequently on the Club Executive as a Vice Chairman (during Dan O’Connor’s Chairmanship) and then as our Co. Board delegate for many years. Sean continues his involvement as one of our Club Trustees to this very day. Happy birthday Seán from everyone in the Club and in the local community. His good friend, Tadgh McMahon scripted a beautiful piece about Seán’s involvement in the Club which appears in Pages 197/198 of our Centenary Book.
