Our under 16’s were no match for a red hot Gaeltacht outfit in Connolly Park on Wednesday evening (July 20th) in a very one sided game. We started brightly with a fortuitous goal from the dashing Eamonn McAllen. This was to prove our only highlight of the half as we only registered one more a score, a free from Kyle Fitzgibbon, and went in trailing 1-1 to 1-8. We emerged in the second half a rejuvenated outfit and points from the brilliant Greg Horan, James Galvin and Eamonn reduced the deficit to just four points ten minutes into the second half. This was as close as we got as Gaeltacht dazzled us with some scintillating football with our only other high point coming from a penalty from Greg Horan.
