Defending champions Tralee booked their place in the quarter final of this tournament with a easy fifteen point win in Ballyrickard on Wednesday evening, Two early goals from Stacks duo Sean Dukes and Ciaran Flanagan put them on their way and they led by three at half time 2-4 to 1-4 at half time.
The second half was almost all one way traffic with Tralee amassing 1-11 to Rangers paltry 2pts. In all we had ten players represented on the night with Colin Griffin and Dylan Harnett in the full back, Sean Ryan captaining the side at cenrtre back flanked by the marauding Jack Morgan. James O’Connor put in a massive second half performance which was capped by a fine individual goal from Michael O’Donnell. Jesse O’Sullivan also had a fine game at corner forward but it was the man of the match performance of Louis Ryle that caught the eye. It was also good to see Calvin Foley togged out for the first time this summer following a lenghty lay off.
