Senior Games
Sincerest condolences to the family, friends and all.at Glenflesk GAA on the death of Oliver
Favier. May he rest in eternal peace. Our opening round of the county league has been
refixed for March 22nd at 2pm.
Our Bs had a great first outing of the season at home to Tuosist in Division 6, winning on a
score of 1-19 to 0-7. We played against the wind in the first half and had our work cut out in
the opening half in difficult conditions, Seán Quilters fortuitous goal providing a welcome
boost when the visitors on top.
We led by 1-7 to 0-7 at the break, after strong showings from dynamic midfield partnership
Sean Heaslip and Sean Óg Brosnan, the defence well marshalled by the classy Adam Curran
and our inside line of Joe Kinsella, Seán Quilter and Cormac Bastible combining well up
front.
We completely took over after HT and played some great stuff. The defence was miserly, not
conceding a single score with John Murphy and Luke Chester both catching the eye. Some
quality shooting from the likes of Conor Myers, Padraig O’Halloran and Seán Quilter meant
we ran out comfortable winners after a very good team performance. Well done to all who
togged out, great going to field 2 junior teams simultaneously with our C teams going down
by 4 in Asdee in Clounmacon after a very encouraging performance that bodes well for the
rest of the season. Next up our B team travel to play Crokes Cs and in 7B our C team play
Kenmare C in Connolly Park on the 29 th .
S Conway, R O’Connell, L Chester (0-1), J Murphy, J Fisher, A Curran (0-2), P O’Halloran
(0-1), S Óg Brosnan, S Heaslip (0-1), S Moynihan, G Sheehan, C Myers (0-3), J Kinsella, S
Quilter (1-8), C Bastible (0-3) SUB C Kavanagh
