SENIOR FOOTBALL: In preparation for upcoming games our Seniors have two challenge games lined up, the first on this Tuesday evening (23rd April) in Ballyrickard at 7.15 when we play a Kerry Junior Selection and then on next Sunday (28th April) when we entertain last year’s Limerick SF Co. Finalists, Newcastlewest, in Connolly Park at 11.30am.
The following week we are due to play our Qr. Final game in the Co. Club Championship (away, against the winners of Dr. Crokes and Kerins O’Rahillys) and this has been fixed for Sunday, 5th May at 2.30pm.
Then we have three consecutive home games in the Co. League, in rounds 4, 5 and 6 on three consecutive weekends – against table-toppers, St. Michael’s/Foilmore (w/e 11th May); Laune Rangers (18th May) and Dingle (25th May).
HURLING: We were due to play our opening game in this season’s South Kerry League on this Wednesday evening (24th April) against Kenmare but the game will not now go ahead as scheduled. Check Web for further details when they become available.
KERRY MINORS: With the sides level on five separate occasions, including at the end of normal time and extra time, this was a real roller-coaster of a Munster MF Championship opener last Friday between Kerry and Cork.
The replay goes ahead in Austin Stack Park on this Friday evening (26th April) at 7.30 with the winners going through to a semi final on Wed., 15th May (a break of 19 days), while the losers will be in action again in just a week’s time (Sat., 4th May). Best of luck again to the whole squad (including our own Greg Horan, Conor Jordan and Joseph O’Kelly and team selector, John O’Keeffe).
MINOR FOOTBALL: The way is now clear for the Co. League semi finals. We play Dingle in Connolly Park and Dr. Crokes have a home game against An Ghaeltacht. Both games had been fixed for this Friday (26th April) but with the Kerry .v. Cork MF replay now going ahead at this time the League semi finals will be rescheduled. Check web for updates.
