BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: A number of Rockies (that we are aware of) celebrate birthdays at this time. Present day footballer, John Dennis celebrates his 21st; One of the all time greats the one and only Michael Chucky O’Connell is 80 this week. And Trish Moriarty (wife of Anthony) celebrated her birthday last Monday night. Happy birthday to all three from everyone in the Rock.
CONGRATULATIONS: to Micheal O Muircheartaigh who did the commentary on the All Ireland SF Club Final last Tuesday, St. Patricks Day. There was nothing unusual in that, but what was remarkable was the fact that he was doing it on the 60th anniversary of his first commentary on St. Patrick’s Day 1949.
