BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Celebrations took place over the Easter weekend to mark Fr. Micheal Galvin’s 90th birthday.
On Friday he was visited by Kieran Donaghy (on behalf of the Players) and members of the Club Executive. Star lived up to his promise. He said if he scored a goal against Galway in Sunday’s NFL he would dedicate it to Fr. Micheal. Which he did.
Fr. Micheal had many callers over the weekend including a family celebration on Monday. Many happy returns again Fr. Micheal from everyone in the Club.

CONGRATULATIONS: to Colaiste na Sceilge on their remarkable victory in the All Ireland Colleges SF Final in Portlaoise last Saturday.
MINOR B FOOTBALL: Ballyduff 5-7; Austin Stacks 1-10.
Points by Nicky O’Connell (3), Shane O’Callaghan and Michael Godley saw us lead by five points to no score at the end of the first quarter. In the space of the next seven minutes we conceeded three goals.
However a minute later Michael Godley was at the end of a great Stacks move to finish to the net. Nicky O’Connell, with a 26th minute point, brought us back on level terms and this was the score at half time (1-6 to 3-0).
The loss of Michael Godley with a facial injury just before half time was a huge loss and this told in the second half when Ballyduff scored a further 2-7 to our four points – two coming from Paddy Fitzgibbon and one each by Nicky O’Connell and a Shane O’Callaghan free.
Darragh O’Connell gave a Man of the Match performance in the defence.
Team (13 a-side): Shane Begley, Stephen Walsh. No Full Back, Darragh O’Connell, Padraig Breen, Dean O’Sullivan, Ciaran O’Connell, Jake O’Brien, Fergal MacNamara, Michael Godley (1-1), Shane O’Callagahn (0-2 – 1 free), Danny Roche, Nicky O’Connell (0-5), No Full Forward, Dean Bastible.

The final game in the group stages, which is a home game against Glenbeigh-Glencar, goes ahead on this Friday evening (19th April) at 7pm.
Good luck to the Kerry MF team as they take on Tipperary in the opening round of the Munster Championship in Thurles on this Wednesday evening (17th April). Best of luck to Shane Carroll who starts at centrefield.
