MEMBERSHIP: Club membership for the coming season is now open. To facilitate people who wish to renew membership or take out new membership, Registrar Tadhg McMahon will be in the Clubhouse on Monday nights between 8.30 and 9.30 for the next few weeks.

MINOR FOOTBALLERS: Our Minor footballers are scheduled to get their season underway on this coming Sunday (15th Feb) with games in the Town League. Our A team are away to Kerins O’Rahillys which our B team have a home game against Churchill.
As we write, starting times have not been fixed but it is likely to be 12 noon to avoid clashing with the Kerry .v. Tyrone game on television in the afternoon. Check with Club for confirmation.
On the following Sunday (22nd Feb) our A team are at home to Laune Rangers which our B team have a bye. Then on Sunday March 1st sees the final rounds where our A team have a bye and our B team are at home to St. Pats.
In the Co. League our A Team are in Division 1 with five other Club. Our five games in the group stageS are as follows:- Round 1 at home to Dingle, Sat 28th Feb; Round 2 away to Legion, Sat 7th March; Round 3 at home to Laune Rangers, Sat 14th March; Round 4 at home to Dromid/Waterville, Sat 21st March; and Round 5 away to Kerins O’Rahillys, Sat 28th March.
At the moment the knock out stages (semi final and final) are fixed for after Kerry’s first outing in the Munster MF Championship which is against Tipperary on Wed. 15th April.
Our B Team are in Division 5A with six other Clubs. Their six games in the Group stages are as follows:- Round 1 at home to Sneem/Derrynane on Sat 7th March; Round 2 away to Blennerville on Sat 14th March; Round 3 away to Glenflesk on Sat 21st March; Round 4 at home to Beale on Sat 28th March; Round 5 away to Ballyduff on Friday 3rd April; and Round 6 at home to Glenbeigh/Glencar on Friday 10th April.
CLUB MERCHANDISE: The Club is now stocking the new range of merchandise in its newly opened Shop in the Clubrooms. For the moment the opening hours are from 2.30pm to 4pm on Saturdays and also during the Bingo on Saturday night.
The merchandise includes gear, leisurewear, replica jerseys, shorts, socks, rain jackets, hoodies, polo shirts, grandad shirts, baseball caps and woolly hats – all featuring the new Club logo and available exclusively through the Club.
The range features products never previously available to the Club and is proving very popular. The items are great for presents for birthday and other occasions.
ROCK GOLF SOCIETY: This Saturday (14th Feb) we play Killeen G.C. for our “Valentine’s” outing. Tee-Time is 10.30 with the draw for cards at 10.15. Format is Single Stableford.
Membership €30 is still open and can be paid on Saturday. Guests will pay full green fee.
CLUBHOUSE: Bookings are now being taken again for any parties on Friday nights, and also Saturdays and Sundays.
BINGO: Our weekly session continues on this and every Saturday night at 8.30pm.
CARDS: The 45 Cards Sessions continue on Mondays and Thursdays at 9.30pm.
LOTTO: Last Monday’s (9th February) Jackpot worth €3,400 was not won. The numbers drawn were 2, 10, 18, 24.
The €100 prize was won by Colm Mangan, c/o Club Rockies; with €20 each going to Fr. Sean Hanafin PP and Johnny Dowling, both c/o Club Rockies; Sarah Galvin, c/o The Bingo; Dean O’Sullivan, c/o Eddie; and Tom Cooper, c/o The Club.
Next Monday’s (16th February) Jackpot will be worth €3,500.
SYMPATHY: Sincere sympathy is offered to the families of Arthur Drugan, St. Brendans Park; Catherine Brassil, Ballyvelly and late of Listellick; Joe O’Shea, Ballybrannagh; John Francis Daly, Ballyvelly and late of Knock, Co. Mayo; and Paddy Barry, Mount Gambier, South Australia and late of Rock Street (brother of the late Jimmy who predeceased him by just eleven months) who died recently.
