MEMBERSHIP: Club membership for the coming season is now open. To facilitate people who wish to renew membership or take out new membership, Registrar Tadhg McMahon will be in the Clubhouse on Monday nights between 8.30 and 9.30 for the next few weeks.

CLUB MERCHANDISE: The Club is now stocking the new range of merchandise in its newly opened Shop in the Clubrooms. For the moment the opening hours are from 2.30pm to 4pm on Saturdays and also during the Bingo on Saturday night.
The merchandise includes gear, leisurewear, replica jerseys, shorts, socks, rain jackets, hoodies, polo shirts, grandad shirts, baseball caps and woolly hats – all featuring the new Club logo and available exclusively through the Club.
The range features products never previously available to the Club and is proving very popular. The items are great for presents for birthday and other occasions.
CONGRATULATIONS: to Club footballer, Martin Courtney and Orla Begley on the birth of their first baby – a son to be named Dean Martin and a first grandson for Bridie.
WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations and every health and happiness to our own Gráinne Power and Strand Road footballer, Timmy O’Sullivan who are getting married on this Saturday afternoon (7th Feb).
ROCK GOLF SOCIETY: Last Saturday we played at the Ring of Kerry under a blue sky and all who travelled agreed that it was very worthwhile.
Format was an am-am and the winning team comprised Alan Teahan, Pat O’Carroll and Maurice Carroll.
Our thanks to our sponsor Loramar Gift Shop and to James and staff at the Ring. Next outing is to Killeen G.C. on Saturday week (14th Feb).
Membership is still open and new members are welcome.
CLUBHOUSE: Bookings are now being taken again for any parties on Friday nights, and also Saturdays and Sundays.
BINGO: Our weekly session continues on this and every Saturday night at 8.30pm.
CARDS: The 45 Cards Sessions continue on Mondays and Thursdays at 9.30pm.
Everyone at the Card session wish John Duggan a speedy recovery from his recent indisposition.
LOTTO: Last Monday’s (2nd February) Jackpot worth €3,300 was not won. The numbers drawn were 14, 18, 27, 28.
The €100 prize was won by Liam Mulpeter & Sarah Galvin, c/o Club Rockies; with €20 each going to Joe Clarke c/o Eddie O’Sullivan; John M. O’Sullivan c/o Club Rockies; Luke Benson, c/o Brendan O’Regan; and Neil Shanahan and Bridie Courtney, both c/o The Club.
Next Monday’s (9th February) Jackpot will be worth €3,400.
SYMPATHY: Sincere sympathy is offered to the families of Mary O’Riordan, Killarney and late of Urban Terrace, Rock St (In her young days Mary, who was a sister of the late Eily Slattery-Casey, played camogie with the Club); Helena McMahon, Marian Park; Lily Cournane, Garryruth; and Jack McCarthy, Pairc na Dun and late of the Square who died during the past week.
