PEIL FAOI 9/10: (i) U10 GoGames: we travelled to Cill Chuimín on Wednesday (16th) and had a great evening of caid (peil) sciliúil! (ii) U10 GoGames: and more brilliant Rock football this Wednesday (23rd) in Connolly Park. (Colm Ó Mongáin, Liam Breathnach)
PEIL FAOI 11/12: (i) Last Tuesday, away to Ardfert, The Rock fielded both younger and older U12 groups against very competitive opposition. The younger boys showed significant improvement since the earlier Ardfert challenge game and delivered an excellent performance against a strong side. The older boys had a tight back-and-forth contest but they came out on top. Both games were high tempo, physical and full of great skill. (ii) On Friday at Connolly Park against Na Mistéalaigh, our boys played their last GoGame of the season in very wet conditions. It was a sporting match with a great display of football from both teams and, ní nach ionadh, An Charraig were victors. (iii) To wrap up the season, the group had great fun and a lovely splashing time at the Aquadome! (iv) The younger boys have one more exciting blitz to attend….a trip to Na Piarsaigh, Cork, on October 4th and that’s always a brilliant outing! Good wishes to all the players and to all the coaches involved. (v) Our boys still have lovely memories of playing outstandingly in Ballymac at the Eric Mason Blitz!
