August 3, 2026 By Maurice MacNamara

PEIL FAOI 6: Our U6 Academy boys will be on the go on Thursday (6th) at 6pm and will have more football fun on Sunday morning next, 9th August.
PEIL FAOI 8: Thursday (6th) at 6pm and Sunday (9th) at 10.50am are our football times.
PEIL FAOI 10: (i) More football fun on Sunday morning next, 9th August, at 10.50am! (ii) And still more football-for-fun will take place on Thursday evening (6th) at 6.15pm in Connolly Park. Foirne…Foireann 1: Darragh Maguire, Donnagh Townsend-Scanlan, Jack Tess, Aidan Clifford, Faylin Carroll, Jamie Moriarty, Daniel Flynn, Fionn Hegarty, Tadhg Ó Sé, Finn Kirby, Evan Hurley; Foireann 2: Conor Long, Ruairí Magnier, Colmán O’Donoghue, James Norton, Hughie Mangan, Cian Griffin, Adam O’Sullivan, George Hill, Jamie Courtney, Evan Lucid, Adam Lata. (iii) The Fossa U10 blitz will take place on Saturday 15th August. (iv) The Salthill blitz will take place on Saturday 12th September….we look forward to an exciting trip to The City of The Tribes (Cathair na dTreabh, Gaillimh). (v) Other GoGames yet to be played: (a) Our 7/8-aside game v Na Crócaigh at their Lewis Road pitch….still to be played; (b) AdeS v Ballymac in Ballymac…a very enjoyable game was played last Wednesday; (c) Ráth Mhór v AdeS (in Rathmore) on Wednesday 26th; (d) AdeS (ag baile) v Ard Fhearta. (Colm Ó Mongáin)
CAID FAOI 11/12: (i) On a very warm day last weekend, our U12s welcomed the Kerins-O’Rahilly Club U12s to Connolly Park for two competitive games. Our older group produced a strong performance in a physical contest, while our younger team, despite being short a number of players, gave everything and battled right to the final whistle. While results can vary from week to week, the real focus at U12 level is on player development and the coaches are delighted with the improvement being shown across the entire panel. The boys continue to develop their skills, game awareness and teamwork; and their effort and commitment at training is clearly transferring onto the pitch. (ii) On Saturday gone by, our U11s travelled to Naas for a prestigious tournament and produced some of their best football of the season. Throughout the day, they played with tremendous skill, determination and teamwork and truly represented The Rock with great pride. Although they were narrowly defeated in the final, the disappointment was short-lived as the coaches reflected on an outstanding day of football and the remarkable progress made by the group. A huge ‘well done’ to all players. Their attitude, commitment and support for one another continues to embody the values of our club and we look forward to the weeks ahead with great confidence. Ar aghaidh linn, a leaideanna na Carraige! (iii) Our U12s are eagerly looking forward to their next challenge on Thursday (6th) v Laune Rangers. (Cóilín Ó Tíocháin)
CAID FAOI 14: Our boys did well v Na Mistéalaigh  (Roinn 1) and v Laune Rangers (Division 5) in the Central League. Imríodh na cluichí i bPáirc Uí Chonghaile! Well done, boys! U14 training: at 7pm on Tuesdays, unless we’ve a game, and at 11am on Sundays. (Jonathan Magnier)
WELL DONE, MINORS: Our minors rounded off their campaign in dramatic style with a dramatic penalty-shootout victory over Gaeil an Tuaiscirt (Northern Gaeil) in Finuge on Tuesday 28th in the Division 1 shield final. To finish off the campaign in such a positive style is testament to the resolve of this fantastic group that has suffered so many setbacks throughout the season, a season that was thuas seal, thíos seal! Indeed, it was a night of high drama, culminating in the final penalty from Jake Carmody that gave us a fine victory i ndeireadh na dála after heart-stopping extra time. ‘Well done’ to team and mentors! Meantóirí: Séamus Bastible, Frankie Murphy, Paddy Lane and Tim McMahon.
An painéal: Conor O’Regan, Fionn Cotter, Darragh Lyons, Oran O’Donoghue, Mark Riordan, Ben Litchfield, David Hobbert, Alex Touhy, Paddy Lucid, Jayden Moriarty, Harry Murphy, Jack Diggin, Jay Sweeney, Danny Lane, Jake Carmody, Haulie Cotter, Joe Barry, Denis Brassil, Nathan O’Conner, Seán Clifford, Rian Walsh,  Eoin Mangan, Barry Laide, David Aherne, Jayden O’Dowd, Ewen Canty, Ryan O’Carroll, Rory Lynch. Our next assignment is the County Championship and in our first game we will play East Kerry on August 13th. Come on The Rock!

Bíonn sé deas i gcónaí ‘Sam’ agus ‘Brendan’ a fheiceáil sa Ríocht! It’s always nice to see ‘Sam’ and ‘Brendan’ in The Kingdom!
