CAID FAOI 11/12:
Our older boys, having recovered from the exertions of their great performances and their outstanding final victory in the 2026 Nass Tournament, are ready for their next encounters and challenges. Our players’ attitude and work rate in Naas was top class. They encountered bigger and stronger players but, being Rock boys, never backed away from the challenges and kept playing football The Rock way. Bhí na cóitseálaithe an-mhórálach as a gcuid peile (football ability) agus as a gcuid iompair (excellent behaviour)! That includes both the 2014 and the 2015 panels. We look forward to the next challenge…an chéad dúshlán eile! (ii) Our U12s took on Fossa last Sunday in Connolly Park. With a mixed selection of players from both younger and older groups; the teams delivered comprehensive wins and showcased excellent cooperation, intensity, determination, skill and scoring ability. Despite the hot conditions, all the boys worked hard, showing real commitment to our values of respect, encouragement and teamwork. They encouraged and supported each other throughout and played as a unit. It was hard to single out individual performances as every player put in a huge effort and contributed to the overall outstanding display. Both teams showed great ball movement, disciplined defending and great composure in front of goal. The improvement from all the boys was clear to see, reflecting the hard work being done in training…and at home. We’re proud of their efforts and look forward to our next challenge. Ar aghaidh linn! (Cóilín Ó Tíocháin)
