SCÓR na bPÁISTÍ: Primary boys/girls who’d like to represent The Rock Club in Scór na bPáistí are asked to contact Carmel, on 087 9305214, or any club member as soon as possible. What’s Scór na bPáistí? It’s a series of competitions, in various categories, for primary school pupils and it’s organised and run by the GAA. One could be a Rock ‘county champion’ in Scór in a few week from now! Categories: sing a song, recitation (or storytelling), ballad group (with 3, 4 or 5 singers…2 songs in harmony), set dance, figure dance, music group (with 2, 3, 4 or 5 musicians…2 tunes), sketch or mime (léiriú stairiúil…between 3 and 8 people) and table quiz (team of 4). The quiz may be on a separate date! The competitions will take place in Dúchas, MTU, at 4.30pm on Saturday28th February. The Rules of Scór can be read on-line. Our club could enter three items in each category as we are ‘three clubs’…football, hurling and ladies.
