PEIL FAOI 6/8: Our boys had a great 1st outing on Sunday last in Caherslee. Conditions were windy but our brave boys were out in force and enjoyed themselves. Our outdoor action will continue on Sunday next, 19th April, at 10.55am. All friends, acquaintances and cousins will be most welcome…just bring them along to Caherslee! On Wednesday, April 8th, our U10 boys played in their 1st GoGames fixture of 2026 v Na Gaeil i bPáirc Uí Chonghaile and wonderful football was played by The Rock Club youngsters. PEIL FAOI 14: (i) On Tuesday of last week we took on Killcummin in Round 2 of the County League i bPáirc Uí Chonghaile and, after a good exciting encounter, our boys drew with their East Kerry opponents. Well done, lads! Our game v the same opposition on Thursday had to be postponed due to the petrol situation. PADDY DRUMMOND CUP: The winners of the Paddy Drummond Cup (U19B college football) are the boys of Cnoc Mhuire Secondary School, Granard , County Longford. They defeated St. Nathy’s College, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon. Cérbh é Paddy Drummond? Paddy was a staunch member of The Rock Club. He played both hurling and football in the Black‘n’Amber.’ He was one of the founding members of the Vocational Schools football championships in 1960 and was that association’s first President. MINORS: We played An Ghaeltacht in the third round of the Central League on Monday. This was a must-win game following defeats v Waterville/Dromid and v Castleisland/Scartaglen (narrowly). We have one further game left in the tournament v Miltown/Castlemaine next Monday evening.
