See Photographs below: On the 8th of December last, we had a very enjoyable medal presentation for the all-conquering Under 14 squad of 2014. Dave Scanlon was the MC and he ran the show effortlessly and with great wit. Medals were presented by our dynamic Senior Midfield duo of Greg Horan and Wayne Guthrie. The lads spoke to the players as well so thanks again lads for taking time out of your busy schedule and best of luck in the preparations. Club Chairman Aidan O’Connor made an impassioned plea to the players to continue to work hard so that in a few years they too might have the opportunity to raise the Bishop Moynihan cup themselves in their own right.
During the past season, our Under 14 A Team swept all before them, winning The U14 County League Division 1 title,(Captain – Dylan Casey) the Kerry Feile U14 Title,(Captain Garry Clifford) the Central League Division 1 title(Captain Joe Looby-Lugandu) and the Tralee Town League Title Division 1.(Donagh McMahon). Mentors were Gene O’Donnell, Michael Casey, Paudie McQuinn, Dave Scanlon, Michael “Chips” Clifford and Eamon Linnane.
At the end of June a squad of 24 boys was hosted by BARNA GAA in Galway as part of the All-Ireland Feile series and the boys distinguished themselves well, winning the qualifying group and by reaching the All Ireland Division 1 Quarter Final, eventually beaten by a crack Nemo Rangers outfit.. A Video was made of the trip and is on the website. A Vital part of the back room team for the weekend was Seanie Power so thanks a million again to him.
Fund raising for Feile was excellently organised by Lorraine Scanlon, Tom Quilter, Joan Casey and Pat Carmody with a Table Quiz, Sponsorship cards and Bag Packing being the main methods used. Generous Sponsorship was also provided by Barry’s Bakery, Adams Bar and Restaurant Dingle, Terry Healy Butcher and Office and Ink, Rock Street. Thanks to all. We also enjoyed refreshments kindly supplied by Barry’s Shop, Upper Rock Street for the Feile Trip to Galway.

Also we would like to express our appreciation to the mentors of the other teams that we dealt with over the year, John Purcell and the U12 Coaching team, and to Pat Slattery and his u16 team, thanks lads. Hats off also to Ian and his team at the Clubhouse, Denny O’Connor, John Breen, Mike Kenny, Brian Caball(GRMA!)Mike Lynch, Elma Nix, Martin Collins, Liam Lynch, Aidan O’Connor, Tim McMahon for their ongoing support, advice and hard work.
