The 2nd annual Charlie Healy Memorial Tournament for Austin Stacks boys under 12 was played at the Nuns Field, Connolly Park on Sunday morning last. In ideal conditions, and with good support from parents and team mentors on the sidelines, 4 teams lined out in the Cup and Plate Finals.
The Charlie Healy Memorial Cup was presented to Donnacha Sayers by Ena Healy, (the Healy family were well represented at the event) and Donnacha thanked all involved in making the tournament a success. Man of the Match Awards awards were presented to Josh Lynch (Cup final) and Michael Lesniak (Plate final.) Medals were presented by Ena Healy to the winning teams.
Denis Sayers co-ordinated the presentation of the end-of-year awards to the large group of Under 12 footballers. Player of the Year Awards were presented to John Duggan, Jamie Horgan, and Niall Brosnan. Merit Awards recipients were Declan Lacey and James Riordan.
