South Kerry Junior Hurling League Final
Kilgarvan 7-12 Austin Stacks 2-3
Kilgarvan registered an easy victory in the final of the South Kerry JH League played in Farranfore on this Sunday afternoon (11th Nov). The game’s first three scores were goals, one just inside a minute by Kilgarvan, followed by two from Sean King and Francie McLoughlin by the 4th minute. Three quick points by Kilgarvan saw them level again after 9m, and, once they took the lead with another point in the 17th minute, they never went behind again.
Between then and half time they had added a further 3-2 to just two pointed frees by Paul Daly for us. This left them ahead at half time by 4-6 to 2-2.
The second half was all one-way traffic with the winners scoring 3-6 to just one point for us – a 32nd minute point from play by Paul Daly.
Missing eight players from our County Final win a fortnight previously was an ask too much for our lads, who now face the same opposition on next Sunday (18th Nov) in the semi final of the South Kerry JH Championship, with Kenmare awaiting the winners in the final. This semi final tie is likely to ahead in Caherslee at 1.45pm.
