Ladies Club News 13th October, 2026.

U14 Girls: North Kerry Ladies U14 Div 1 Plate Final V Churchill played on Monday Oct 5th: Austin Stacks U14 girls finished their season with a flourish to secure the North Kerry Div1 Plate against Churchill under the lights of Connolly Park. The early exchanges were even enough, however the Stacks soon took control of the match, despite playing into a strong breeze and took a commanding lead into the half time break. HT Stacks 4-04 Churchill 0-02.

The girls showed their intent to continue where they left off right from the restart and though Churchill rallied midway through the half the Rock ran out deserving winners on a final scoreline of 5-14 to 1-04.

Many thanks to Churchill and referee Sharon for a fine sporting match.

A final well done to all the girls, who have played with the U14s in 2026, they have all improved and developed their game throughout the year and will be stars for the Stacks in the years ahead. Details of our end of year trip to Cork Ice Rink on November 21st are currently being finalised.

U15 Girls: Co. Championship Tralee District were defeated by South Kerry in Rd 1 last Saturday afternoon in Waterville FT Tralee 2-8 South Kerry 2-13. Rd 2 V North Kerry will go ahead this weekend at a Tralee venue.

Minor Ladies: After an absence of several years, the Helen Dowling Memorial U18 Girls Football Blitz took place in Connolly Park last Saturday. Congratulations to our own Stacks girls who were the Shield winners on the day. Cup winners were Corcha Dhuibhne. Presentations made by Helen’s husband Johnny and Austin Stacks LGFA Club President Noreen Power of Power Travel (tournament sponsors). Runners up were Laune Rangers (Shield) and Moyvane (Cup). Stacks team: Sophie Ferriter, Eimear Kenny, Chloe O’Halloran, Eabha May Horgan, Eve Mc Evoy, Aine Gibbons, Maria O’Connell, Lauren Lawlor, Claire Counihan, Ella O’Sullivan, Ellen Lucey, Penny Costello, Ashleigh Horan. Thanks to Lisa Conway of the Austin Stacks Club Bar for opening up early to provide refreshments, our referees Frank and Geroge, Ciara who looked after the fixtures, club photographer Adrienne Mc Loughlin and to the ever helpful Noel O’Connell and John Breen who looked after setting up the pitches for us. Thanks to Trophy World for their sponsorship of the tournament medals. The feedback from all clubs participating was very positive so we will definitely look to running the blitz again in 2027.

G4MO: Training in Connolly Park every Monday & now Wednesday night from 7pm to 8pm. Everyone is welcome, especially new members. Urging Ladies age 25 + to come along & try it out, no experience or fitness ability needed.

Stacks LGFA Autumn 2026 Fundraising Clothing Collection – Start ‘gathering’ we will hold a clothing collection on Saturday November 7th in the club rooms Connolly Park from 11am to 1pm. the Annual Austin Stacks Ladies Club Table Quiz goes ahead on Saturday November 21st. in the Austin Stacks Clubhouse.
