Austin Stacks came away empty handed after losing to Beaufort by one point in a game that ebbed and flowed right up to the final whistle.
Stacks had the better of the exchanges early on without scoring before Beaufort opened the scoring after nine minutes with a point from Fionn Kennedy and three minutes later Fergal Hallissey made it a three point game with a two pointer free.
Jack Murphy and Darragh Dennehy traded points with fourteen minutes gone and Fergal Hallissey from a forty five made it a four point game after eighteen minutes.
Then we had seven in a row points for Stacks from a Greg Horan two pointer,Ryan O’Driscoll with two points,Conor Horan free Colin Griffin and Michael O’Donnell and just before the interval Fergal Hallissey had a free for Beaufort.

Cian Purcell with a point opened the scoring after the interval and within a minute Fergal Hallissey with a two pointer free made it a one point game.
Conor Horan from a Greg pass had a two pointer but two minutes later Darragh O’Connor kicked a Beaufort point to make it a two point game.
Darragh Dennehy from a free left the minimum between the sides only for Jordan Kissane with a two pointer and a Cian Purcell point made it a four point game.
Beaufort upped their game with five unanswered points,four from Darragh Dennehy (3f) and one from Darragh O’Connor to leave the Home side ahead by one point with four minutes remaining.
Michael O’Donnell gave Stacks a lifeline when he soloed along the end line before finishing to the net.
Beaufort attacked and were rewarded with a two pointer from Darragh O’Connor to level the match after sixty minutes and in injury time Fergal Hallissey kicked his third two pointer free,and with time up Cian Purcell finished the scoring with a point.
