We celebrate the 1980 Minor County Championship winning team at a special function in the clubhouse on Saturday night coming the 6th April.
Backboned by 3 of the Kerry team that won the All Ireland Minor Final against Derry the previous month – Mike Crowley, Mike Counihan and the late Liam Kearns – one of the most talented sides ever produced by the Rock powered their way through the championship that year culminating in emphatic wins over Kenmare in the semi-final and a Killarney district team in the decider, to secure the club’s second ever minor county title.
As the wait for no. 3 continues, those brilliant performances and many more heroics from 44 years ago will be recalled on what promises to be a very memorable night.
All are very welcome to attend the event which starts at 8pm with full bar, finger food and also live music afterwards.
